We are proud to be sponsoring the Welcome Drink at a lunch in March organised by Crowborough Acorns - which is raising funds for Cancer Research UK. The speaker at the lunch is Dr Melanie Flint, who will be giving an update on how the research she has done in Sussex has been taken forward into practice.
Dr Flint is a reader in Cancer Research and is the leader of a stress and breast cancer programme at the University of Brighton. She is currently co-leader of Brighton and Sussex Cancer Research Network and theme leader for cancer in the Centre of Stress and Age Related Disease. She is also a member of the British Breast Group.
Melanie trained in the Women’s Cancer Research Centre at the University of Pittsburg Cancer Institute and remains at adjunct Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Pittsburg.
The lunch is being held at Crowborough Rugby Football Club on Wednesday 15 March 2023 and we'd love to see you there. Tickets cost £30 each and can be ordered from Jan Brady on: janbrady.acorns@gmail.com
