Arranging a Funeral
Planning a loved one’s funeral will entail you having to make a large number of decisions at a time when you will probably feel least able to do that. However, we will guide you through the process, explaining the various options open to you, enabling you to create a ceremony which best reflects your loved one, encompassing your wishes and, indeed, their wishes.
As an independent funeral director and a proud member of SAIF, we can be flexible and tailor a service to suit your needs. Tester and Jones can help you at this difficult time, we cover the areas of Crowborough, Uckfield, Rotherfield, Mark Cross, Mayfield and Buxted as well as other villages in East Sussex and West Kent.
Tester and Jones will support you with the planning
The initial choice to be made is between a burial or a cremation and then there are decisions to be made surrounding the service itself and, at each step, we will clearly suggest options and work with any ideas you might also have.
We can recommend people to lead the service, taking into account any wishes concerning whether the funeral should be religious or not. Your chosen celebrant will meet with you and assist you with choosing what form the service will take, the inclusion of any readings, reflections and music and we can help you with printing an order of service if required.
While most people assume they have a choice between a church or the crematorium, we have supported families holding funeral services in many local spaces - including Crowborough Community Centre and Barnsgate.
The majority of our families have some sort of gathering after the funeral service and, again, we can suggest venues for that.
We will offer you options and the guidance to make all the decisions which being given choice will bring you. The important thing is that you feel supported and the funeral reflects your loved in the best way possible.
